Nike Recharge pack - tested on the pitch

The weather’s freezing. The skies are grey. Yeah, it’s fair to say we’re all in need of a recharge.
Nike’s fresh new "Recharge" pack aims to inject a bit of energy back onto the pitch. Hey, we all need some motivation, and nothing gets us more excited than shiny new colours.
This latest paint job sees the Mercurial Vapor, Superfly and Phantom GT given a rather tasty makeover. So, we took them out for a quick spin to find out whether they live up to all the hype.
Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 - Recharge Pack
Ahhh, the Mercurial Vapor 14. We didn’t think it was possible to fall deeper in love with it.
The stripped-down, almost minimalist, design has had defenders spitting dust all damn year. The welcome return to synthetics has served up a comfy, responsive and speedy masterpiece.
For the Recharge pack, the Mercurial has been dipped in a lovely “Sapphire/Volt/Blue Void” concoction, which we think roughly translates as “gorgeous blues with flashes of vibrant yellow to make it all look very fancy”.
In short, it’s an electric colourway for an electric football boot. Yeah, we feel “recharged”, alright. It’s beautiful.
Will be worn by: Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes.
Nike Mercurial Superfly 8 - Recharge Pack
The Mercurial Superfly 8 is exactly the same as the Vapor 14, just with a Dynamic Fit Collar slapped on the end of it.
Since it features the same tech, it’s every bit as speedy and responsive as the Vapor. Basically, your choice between the two will depend on whether or not you prefer boots with a sock collar.
Of course, the Superfly also features the same electric colourway, with shocks of yellow flashing across the royal blues. Oh yes, this is just what we need to get us through a very nippy winter.
Will be worn by: Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Marcus Rashford.
Nike Phantom GT2 - Recharge Pack
Just like the two Mercurials, the new Phantom GT2 is also fizzing with electricity here.
This time, however, the blues and yellows are joined by a “Grey Fog”, serving up an incredibly stormy recipe indeed. Yep, this would match up perfectly with the kinda wet, overcast conditions you’ll probably soon be playing in.
The Phantom is still the same technological marvel it’s always been, with the textured upper and off-centre laces offering one hell of a strike.
It remains a vicious, grippy work of art, and this fresh lick of paint definitely has us purring with excitement.
Will be worn by: Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne.
