Czech Legends

As a relatively new national football side following the separation of Czechoslovakia in 1992, the Czechs wasted no time in making their mark on European football. Filled with legends such as Patrik Berger and Pavel Nedved, they defeated a strong Italian side in the group stages of Euro 1996. They went on to meet Germany in the final, but lost out to a heart crushing golden goal, preventing them from winning their first tournament as an independent nation. Notable players over the past 20 years have transcended the Czech First League by playing in Europe including the likes of Jan Koller, Milan Baros and current players Tomáš Souček and Patrick Schick.
